Forum Structure

The Forum is jointly chaired by Industry (Sir Kevin Smith CBE, Chief Executive of GKN) and Government (The Rt. Hon. Stephen Timms, MP, Minister of State for Competitiveness and Consumer Affairs). The remaining membership is made up of senior figures from industry, business representative organisations, trade unions, academia and RDAs.

The Forum is an ad hoc advisory body.

The Forum meets quarterly, and is supported by a Secretariat provided by BERR's Manufacturing Policy Unit and key stakeholders
