Effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) 

Computer and communications technologies have a huge impact on businesses, our personal lives and society. However, the positive potential of technology will be weakened if people aren't able to use it.

The People at the Centre of Communications and Information Technologies (PACCIT) research programme focuses on usability, and looks at a variety of information and communications technologies and how they can best be used in business and society. The programme brings the people who develop these technologies face-to-face with the people who will use them.
 
A major aim of the programme is to share the lessons learned as widely as possible.
