Steering Panel Terms of Reference

The terms of reference for the Steering Panel are to:

  • oversee the OSI review of the quality and use of science in HSE;
  • advise on the scope and content of the science review of HSE, including the identification of topic areas for more detailed scrutiny;
  • oversee and approve the peer review of a sample set of scientific and research outputs from HSE;
  • review progress and output from the review;
  • identify good practice in the quality and use of science by HSE;
  • identify gaps and opportunities in HSE's areas of responsibility where high quality science could be used more effectively;
  • identify and recommend options for strengthening HSE's science base; and
  • work with OSI to finalise a report on the quality and use of science in HSE.
