Cross-curricular programme for pupils aged 5 to 11 years

Wind Energy

This programme contains colour information cards, photocopiable activity sheets and posters to help 5- to 11-year-olds understand:

  • how each source supplies electricity
  • what each source looks like
  • why renewable energy is so important for the UK
  • which locations are suitable for each kind of renewable energy.

The teachers’ notes include advice on how to use the programme and links to the geography, science and citizenship curricular.
