British Quality Foundation (BQF)
Aims to promote the use and understanding of excellence as a basis for achieving improvements in performance relevant to the needs of all enterprises and organisations. British Standards Institution (BSI)
Responsible for preparing British Standards that are used in all industries. BSI is the UK member of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) and represents British interests at international standards discussions. European Centre for Business Excellence (ECforBE)
ECforBE conducts research into organisational management, and to share knowledge of best practice through publications and executive development programmes. The centre attracts funding from major international organisations to conduct research on topics including the Excellence Model, strategic planning, people management, process management and performance measurement. European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)
A membership based, not for profit organisation, created in 1988 by 14 leading European businesses, with a mission “To be the driving force for sustainable excellence in Europe” and a vision of a world in which European organisations excel. It is the owner of the EFQM Excellence Model® and manages the European Quality Award process, plus provides a portfolio of services for its members. www.efqm.org

Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA)
Advances the knowledge of quality management and practices, to achieve greater awareness of the importance of quality performance. Promotes education, training, qualification and development of people with responsibility for quality. Provides services for members, industry and commerce, including training courses, conferences, seminars, study programmes, books, journals and a database to the business community, plus a list of training aids available in the UK. www.iqa.org

National Measurement Partnership (NMP)
The National Measurement Partnership programme is an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry with the aim of developing the organisational infrastructure of the UK's National Measurement System.
