The
Post Office Users' National Council (Appointed Day) Order 2000 [S.I.2000/3273]
This Order set the 1st of January 2001 as the appointed day for the purpose of section 118 of the Postal Services Act 2000. Section 118 provided that, on a day appointed by the Secretary of State, all the property, rights and liabilities of the Post Office Users' National Council transfers to the Consumer Council for Postal Services (new consumer body established under the Postal Services Act 2000).
