Forum
Structure
The Forum
is jointly chaired by Industry (Kevin Smith CBE, Chief Executive
of GKN) and Government (The Rt. Hon. Alun Michael MP, Minister of
State for Industry and the Regions). The remaining membership
is made up of senior figures from industry, business
representative organisations, trade unions, academia and RDAs.
The Forum
is an ad hoc advisory body and has a lifespan of around two years.
The Forum
meets quarterly, and is supported by a Secretariat
provided by DTI's Manufacturing Policy Unit and key stakeholders
