Initial priority areas

The Forum is focussing on where it believes the key areas for further action are and how it will seek to make a difference over its two-year life.

The Forum has met three times: on 2 December 2004, 22 March 2005 and 20 July 2005. Notes of the three meetings are attached below:

The Forum will continuously monitor delivery of all the key priorities highlighted in the Manufacturing Strategy Action Plan. These areas include:

  • Promoting Science and Innovation
  • Encouraging high value added investment
  • Promoting best practice
  • Better regulation
  • Modern infrastructure
