SPAM - An Increasing Global Nuisance

Spam is: ‘Unsolicited marketing e-mail sent without the consent of the addressee and without any attempt at targeting on recipients who are likely to be interested in its contents.

December 2003: Spam was estimated to account for more than 56% of all global e-mail traffic, an increase of 16% since 2002. (Brightmail - filter Software Company)
