IESE Statistics

These are sources for which the IESE statistical team have responsibility.

The Community Innovation Survey (CIS)

This survey, designed by IESE and carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), gives the most complete coverage of the UK's innovation performance.

SET Statistics

This is a summary of key science, engineering and technology indicators. These statistics are compiled by IESE from a variety of sources such as Government R&D surveys, research councils, the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). SET Statistics includes data on:

  • Government funding of science, engineering and technology in the UK;
  • Funders and performers of R&D in the UK;
  • Outputs and employment of science graduates and postgraduates, and other employment data;
  • How the UK compares with other G7 countries.
