Effectiveness of the Furniture & Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

The University of Surrey, commissioned by the DTI, carried out this study which looks at whether the number of lives lost due to furniture fires has reduced since the introduction of this Regulation.

It also examines whether the benefits of the Regulations outweigh the costs to the industry.
