The Technology Programme is a unique DTI support solution to help you with your research, development and innovation. Announced in the recent innovation report the Programme can help your business exploit technologies by providing some of the funding and sharing some of the risk in taking new and innovative technologies to market. It can also help by developing communities of interest around key emerging technologies to support your business in spotting technological opportunities and threats, and meet potential collaborators. It is underpinned by a long-term funding commitment and will be delivered through open competitive calls for applications using either of two DTI business support solutions:

• Knowledge Transfer Networks and
• Collaborative Research and Development.

Foresight develops visions of the future and brings together the knowledge and expertise of business, science and government to increase national wealth and quality of life.

NMS (the National Measurement System) is the UK's network of laboratories that provides standards of measurement for use in trade, industry, academia and government.

Eureka encourages international collaborations between companies and other organisations.

There are regional schemes to help small businesses, supported by the European Structural Funds. They are normally administered by Government Offices in the English regions and delivered through organisations such as local Business Links (and their equivalents outside England).
