Updated guidance on the
operation of the WMD end-use control.
The Guidance covers background to the
control; what exporters need to check; the position on the
transfer of technology under the Export Control Act 2002;
when the end-use control is invoked; how applications are
assessed; and goods and destinations of concern.
The Annexes cover: how exporters can
recognise suspicious enquiries; the mechanics of the ratings
and licence application process; and descriptions of goods
for which exporter licences were refused on end-use grounds
since 2002.
