11 June 2007 - Seminar on Implementation of EU Services Directive
The event outlined how the UK Government proposes to implement the Directive in the UK and how Member States are implementing the Directive and outlined the findings of the study into user requirements of the UK Point of Single Contact study.

9 May 2007 - Seminar : Reducing Administrative Burdens for Business and Implications for Local Authorities & Regulators - Sheffield
An introductory event was organised for Local Authorities and Regulators in the Midlands and North of England area to discuss the impact the Directive will have on authorities once implemented.

8 February 2007 - Local Authorities/Regulator event – London
As the Directive will have an impact upon the work Local Authorities do e.g. licensing and permits regimes, registration procedures, an introductory event took place earlier in the year. The event gave a better understanding of the Directive’s aims and provisions and outlined the timescales, role and responsibilities for implementations.
Guest speakers were:
Dr Andrea Liesenfeld, European Commission Services team and Nick Leapman –European Commission, who outlined how the Commission envisaged the Internal Market Information system would work and its implications for Local Authorities.

July 2006:
The Services Directive team organised a seminar on the 25 July 2006 to raise awareness of the benefits that the Directive will bring to businesses and consumers, once implemented.
Guest speakers were:
Ian McCartney, Minister for Trade, Investment & Foreign Affairs, Hugo de Chassiron, formal member of the European Commission’s Services Team and Francesca Woodhouse, Federation of Small Businesses.
During the course of the event, Mr McCartney said that “on this agreement we will have a Europe where UK businesses and entrepreneurs can tap into new markets, consumers can benefit from more choice, high quality of services and value for money and, as independent studies have shown, employment is increased. This Directive is such a landmark achievement. Let's make sure it happens.”
