FIRST REPORT OF THE LOW PAY COMMISSION

 



The Low Pay Commission’s First Report to the Prime Minister was published in June 1998; it provides a detailed description of the incidence of low pay, the work of the Commission and the background to its recommendations. The main findings and recommendations of the Commission’s report are outlined below. The text is taken from the full report, copies of which may be obtained from The Stationery Office. (Cm 3976).
