Equality North West
Equality North West is producing separate
information cards for individuals and employers on the new Employment Equality
(Sexual orientation and Religion or Belief) Regulations. Each style of card will
cover the two strands of the new legislation.
The
card for the individual will fold to the size of a credit card. It will contain
information about the new legislation, and is designed to give some guidance and
develop understanding. There will also be some FAQs & answers, plus
some useful information sources for further help, and also definitions of
important terms.
The
card for employers will mirror that of the individual, but will consider the new
legislation from an employer’s view. The card will include definitions, some
questions and answers, useful information sources and good practice points.
Each side of each of the two cards will focus on either sexual orientation or
religion or belief.
Around
200,000 cards for individuals and 20,000 cards for employers will be distributed
nationally.
