The Intercom Trust

The Intercom Trust, a regional LGBT charity based in Devon, is delivering a series of seminars for employers in the South West to raise awareness and understanding of the new Employment Equality (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2003. They are being held across the South West Peninsula from The Isles of Scilly to Bournemouth, and from Plymouth and Torbay to Weston-super-Mare. There are a total of 19 seminars, each location having been selected for its accessibility for local businesses. There are currently seats available at all seminars.

The aim of the seminars is to give employers a chance to explore the scope and terms of the regulations as well as how they translate into everyday workplace practice. By being given the opportunity to openly discuss common employment problems we hope to empower employers to look at sexual orientation and diversity in a new proactive light, implementing best practice across the region. All delegates receive Intercom’s specially-developed information pack with examples of good practice and useful guidance on LGB and Trans awareness in the workplace.

For information contact Paul, Intercom’s Training Officer, or check out Intercom’s training website and follow the link for the DTI seminars.
