Guidance on the Conduct of
Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations

& Employment Confederation and Equity,
this guidance

provides information on The
Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses
Regulations 2003 (the Regulations) which governs the conduct
of the private recruitment industry and establishes a framework of
minimum standards that clients, both work-seekers and hirers, are
entitled to expect. The regulations come in force on 6 April 2004,
except regulations 26(7) and 32 which come into force on 6 July
2004. A Regulatory Impact Assessment

On 23 July
2002 the DTI published a consultation
exercise on and released a final draft of the Conduct
of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations
(97Kb)* inviting comment on the main proposed changes.
In addition,
we issued an explanatory note setting out the proposed
changes to the draft Conduct Regulations, following the
previous consultation in February/March 2001 and updated the Regulatory
Impact Assessment
(62Kb).
The
