About this website

Education for enterprise prepares pupils for life in a rapidly changing world, gives them the knowledge and skills to succeed and helps to make their school subjects more relevant.

This pilot website provides guidance for teachers in developing enterprise education and entrepreneurial skills among pupils in the 11 to 16 age range. Through information and case studies it shows teachers how they can incorporate enterprise education into their schemes of work.

The website focuses on learning about and for enterprise through subjects – art and design, design and technology, history, geography and citizenship. As the site develops, other subjects will be added.

Learning through subjects is just one approach to developing enterprise in schools. The wider curriculum illustrates other ways that enterprise education can be developed.
