Quarterly Energy Prices

Quarterly Energy Prices is the Department of Trade and Industry's publication covering energy prices. It includes data formerly included in ‘Energy Trends’ (Tables 26 to 30) and the ‘Digest of UK Energy Statistics’ (Chapter 9). It contains tables, charts and commentary on industrial, domestic and international prices. Quarterly Energy Prices is available on subscription along with Energy Trends, currently costing only £35 per year for subscribers in the United Kingdom. For overseas subscribers, the charge is £44 per year for Europe and £40 for the rest of the world via surface mail delivery, or £55 for air mail delivery outside Europe.

Quarterly Energy Prices is a pdf document, with links to Excel spreadsheets that contain both the publication tables and historic data.

To access the tables, open the pdf and click on the relevant link(s) from page 3, the 'List of Tables'.

Most of the Excel files contain multiple sheets. These, depending on the table, may show the data as a chart, data inclusive/exclusive of tax, in real/current terms, or monthly/quarterly/annually.
