In this section you will find information on the Energy policy and strategy currently being taken forward by the Department of Trade and Industry, often in partnership with other Government departments and organisations.

This includes the 2003 Energy White Paper and its subsequent Annual Progress Reports.  You can also find information on the Sustainable Energy Policy Network which was formed to carry forward the goals of the Energy White Paper.

You will also find information on Consumer policy and issues and on the UK's European Energy Policy.
