CHALLENGES AND INNOVATIONS IN ESTABLISHMENT SURVEYS
Establishment surveys play a critical role in forming our understanding of social and economic behaviour in areas as diverse as employment relations, education, workplace safety and business performance. However, such surveys also present a number of methodological challenges that are not commonly encountered in surveys of individuals or households.

The conference brought together a number of experts in the field to examine some of these challenges in detail and to identify innovative methodologies. The programme addressed a range of topics from sampling and contact procedures to methods of maximising response. Presentations and a summary of the debate can be found at the NIESR Events Archive web page.
