Redundancy Entitlement

Redundancy entitlement statutory rights: a guide for employees

There is a limit on the amount of a week's pay that can be taken into account in working out your entitlement. For details of current limits on payments, see the document Limits on payments - Guidance (below). The limit changes annually in line with the retail prices index (up or down) as appropriate. With effect from 1 February 2007 the weekly limit is £310. For redundancies prior to 1 February the previous weekly limit of £290 should be used.
