Review of UK Assisted Areas. Stage 2 - The Government's Response and Draft Assisted Areas Map

This document sets out the Government's response to the first stage the Consultation process of its review of UK Assisted Areas. It also includes the draft proposal for a new Assisted Areas map for the period 2007-2013. The new map will take effect on 1 January 2007 and will replace the current map which will expire on 31 December 2006.  The review is in response to new European Commission guidelines on regional aid.
