Company Law Reform
The Government
published a
White Paper
(click to view) "Company Law
Reform" in March 2005. This White Paper
sets out the Government's proposals for
comprehensive reform of our company law
framework to bring it in line with modern
business needs. The reforms build on the
work of the Company Law Review (CLR) and
will be introduced through the Company Law
Reform Bill. The consultation closed on
10 June we are now considering responses

New Companies Legislation
(Modernising Company Law White Paper Cm

This
White Paper sets out the Government's
core proposals for simplifying and modernising
company law, especially for small companies;
for providing a legal framework for all
companies which reflects the needs of the
modern economy; and for ensuring it remains
up to date in the future.
