regulations require?
They restrict the lead content of any tin or other metallic coating used on the surface of utensils designed to come into contact with food.

Local authority trading standards departments.
Failure to meet the requirements of safety regulations can result in a fine of up to £5000 and/or a prison term of up to six months.
