Appeals to the Secretary of State from
decisions of the Office of Fair Trading
The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has received an appeal
from Jacksons (Property Agents) Limited against a determination of
the Office of Fair Trading to revoke its consumer credit licence
issued under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and an appeal by Sean
Caffrey against a decision of the Office of Fair Trading under the
Estate Agents Act 1979 to prohibit him from practising as an estate
agent. Notice is now given that a public hearing of these appeals
will take place at the premises of the Lands Tribunal, Procession
House, 110 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6JL, commencing at 10.30am
on Thursday 12 January 2006 and continuing as necessary on Friday 13
January 2006.

CONSUMER CREDIT ACT 1974
APPEAL TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE FROM
A DECISION OF THE OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING
The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry has received an appeal
from Timothy James Wright, of Holderness Road, Hull against a
decision of the Office of Fair Trading to refuse his application to
renew a standard consumer credit licence issued under the Consumer
Credit Act 1974. Notice is now given that a public hearing of the
appeal will take place at the premises of the Appeals Service,
Strand House, 1 Leonard Street, Off Beverley Road, Hull, HU3 1BN on
29 November 2005, commencing at 10.30am before a panel of persons
appointed by the Secretary of State to hear the appeal on his
behalf.
