Ministers
The Secretary of State for Health, John Reid, works together with a group
of ministers for health and Nigel Crisp, the Permanent Secretary and NHS
Chief Executive. The ministers are appointed by the Government and are
either MPs elected by the public, or members of the House of Lords.
