| The Defence Medical
Education & Training Agency (DMETA) is a tri-service
multi-site organisation. It underpins medical
support to Britain's front line forces by educating and
training Defence Medical Service staff and those
military personnel who have medical functions as a
secondary care role. |
 |
| Its outputs
reflect change in the NHS clinical practice, in
Government legislation and in military medical demand,
and it works to define and adopt best practice
throughout its own organisation. |
DMETA's Key Targets are to
integrate the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine in Birmingham;
develop military medical education, training and research with
its academic and clinical partners; deliver required outputs
efficiently and cost effectively; and develop training to the
advantage of the military environment, by monitoring and meeting
the needs of change in doctrine, medical practice, research and
development, and being introduced into service.
