The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is a framework for recognising and accrediting qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
The QCF is designed to provide learners, learning providers and employers with an inclusive and flexible regulated qualifications framework. It provides a standard currency for learner achievement across the qualifications system, through the award, accumulation and transfer of credit achievement over time.
The intention is to make both the system and the qualifications offered far more relevant to the needs of employers and learners.
