Can you provide the number of job vacancies that were externally advertised by the department broken down between April 07 to April 08 and between 1st April 2008 to 30th June 2008.
Response
The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills was created as a result of Machinery of Government changes in June 2007. As a result there were not a large number of vacancies advertised during the periods requested.
From 01 April 2007 to 31 March 2008 there were no jobs advertised externally.
From 01 April 2008 to 30 June 2008 there were 15 posts advertised externally.
