  • Sector Skills Councils, including Sector Compacts; employer-driven organisations that articulate skills gaps in a sector and seek to address them
  • UK Commission for Employment and Skills
  • Better Regulation; helping to reduce bureaucracy in Government regulation
  • Third Sector (charities and voluntary organisations) Skills
  • Olympic Skills 2012
  • Manufacturing strategy
  • Union Learning Representatives; trade union representatives encouraging staff to learn at work
  • World Skills; young skilled people from around the world, gather together to compete before the public in the skills of their various trades
  • Investors in People (IiP); public standard regarding equal opportunities and training for staff in order to improve the performance of an organisation
