Good communication with the public, health professionals and others will be crucial both before and during a pandemic.
We are working to ensure that both health professionals and the public have access to information about pandemic flu. The Chief Medical Officer has produced an explanatory guide and a public information leaflet, frequently-asked questions and key facts sheets have been developed. An information pack has been distributed to GP surgeries, pharmacies, NHS Direct call centres, walk-in centres and other health professionals.
