More than 40 clinical leaders and frontline staff gathered on 5 July 2006 to air their views on how to best involve clinicians in the implementation of NHS health reforms.
The aim of this event was to look at the proposed process to consult with the public and stakeholders in preparation for a White Paper.
The third Healthcare Science Awareness Week took place from 15 to 19 November with events being held across the country, for school children, the general public, for NHS staff and scientists themselves. It celebrated the vital work of healthcare scientists and promoted awareness of their contribution to the NHS and the health of the nation. It also raised the profile of healthcare science to the public at large and in particular to young adults as a possible career option for the future.
