The annual report for research and development work relating to assistive technology 2010-11 has been published. The report describes the wide range of Government funded projects supporting the development, introduction and evaluation of assistive technology.
Ministerial Advisory Group on Dementia Research: headline report
The Ministerial Advisory Group on Dementia Research, chaired by Paul Burstow, M.P. Minister of State for Care Services has produced its final Headline Report, with a detailed 'Route map for dementia research'. It identifies specific areas most urgently in need of good quality research and includes pledges up to £20 million from the Department of Health over five years for four new NIHR Dementia Biomedical Research Units.
The NIHR provides the framework through which the Department of Health maintains and manages the research, research staff and research infrastructure of the NHS in England.
