The Disability Discrimination Bill received Royal Assent on 7 April 2005 to become the Disability Discrimination Act 2005.


Part 3

Part 3 of the Disability Discrimination Act gives disabled people a "right of access" to goods, services and facilities.


Part 5

Part 5 of the Disability Discrimination Act enables the Government to make regulations requiring all new land based pubic transport vehicles to be /accessible to disabled people, including those who need to remain in their wheelchairs.
