National Travel Survey: Technical report 2008

The main 2008 Technical Report outlines the NTS methodology for 2008 including sample design; fieldwork procedures; data preparation; data provision and weighting. It also contains details on the trip data for 2007 and 2008; changes to the NTS over time and comparisons between NTS data and other sources. The Appendices contain details of the NTS questionnaires as well as copies of key NTS documents, including the travel diaries. Two additional web-only references are provided giving detailed descriptions of the main variables available on the NTS database and a summary of which questions were included in which years for 2002-2008.
