LINK research programmes
LINK Future Integrated Transport (FIT)
The LINK Future Integrated Transport Programme was established by the Department for Transport and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council with the objectives of promoting high quality scientific research and increased competitiveness of the UK transport industry.
The FIT Programme ran six calls for proposals from September 1999 to March 2002. Funding was available from the sponsors under the LINK scheme, the Government's principal mechanism for promoting partnership in pre-competitive research between industry and the research base. In addition EPSRC provided funding for certain types of proposal through their standard research grant mechanism.
Further information regarding this programme can be found on the Research Database.
We have also published summary information on progress and results in the Future Integrated Transport Programme: Progress and Results.
