Annex A: Structure of Responses
Submissions to DfT should follow the following structure and content. Please use the same section numbers. You are invited to complete those sections which are relevant to your interest; you are also strongly urged to consider providing responses to the issues listed in Annex B as part of this process.
1 Introductory Material (max 10 pages)
This should include:
1.1 Organisation information (contact points, names, addresses etc)
1.2 Capabilities, competencies and relevant experience of the organisation in relation to the "Value Chain" at Figure B-1
1.3. Summary of key points in the submission.
2 Proposed demonstration that an organisation could undertake either alone, or in conjunction with others - item marked "(a)" under objectives in main body (max 50 pages - if contributing on this item) including:
2.1 Responses to relevant Issues from Annex B
2.2 Relevance in the context of the European Directive 2004/52/EC on road charging interoperability
2.3 Key functionality to be demonstrated
2.4 Outline scale of cost (without prejudice) and preparedness to contribute.
3 Concept for TDP charging - - item marked "(b)" under objectives in main body (max 50 pages - if contributing on this item) to include:
3.1 Responses to relevant Issues from Annex B
3.2 Completed summary concept tables based around the material provided in Annex C
3.3 Possible business model framework for the concept
3.4 Relevance in the context of the European Directive 2004/52/EC on road charging interoperability.
4 Proposals for accreditation of systems and services for TDP charging systems and services and supporting rationale - item marked "(c)" under objectives in main body (max 25 pages - if contributing on this item) to include:
4.1 Responses to relevant Issues from Annex B.
5 Proposed research items and supporting rationale - item marked "(d)" under objectives (max 25 pages - if contributing on this item) to include:
5.1 Responses to relevant Issues from Annex B.
Respondents should provide a cross-reference table to indicate where the numbered items in Annex B have been addressed within the material above. Where respondents provide material to document potential demonstrations (Section 2), it would be helpful if these were explained in a manner that showed clearly how they link to and support any concept(s) articulated in Section 3.
