Logistics Skills Award
The Logistics Skills Award (re-structured from the Modern Apprenticeship-based Demonstration Project) aims to recruit driver trainees from beyond the usual 16-25 year age group and also to promote take-up among women and ethnic minorities.
This scheme was supported under the Road Haulage Modernisation Fund and is continuing - Government gives more help to hauliers .
