White paper and technical strategy addendum - updated carbon figures

Both the rail white paper and the rail technical strategy include a chart comparing the carbon dioxide emission figures of different modes drawn from a rail industry energy metrics report.  Unfortunately, this chart was reproduced incorrectly in both the white paper and technical strategy.

The energy metrics report has also been updated and re-published principally to take account of more recent information relating to international comparisons for high speed trains and to ensure that Class 373 trains, as used by Eurostar, are appropriately compared with international high speed trains.

Consequently, the charts on pages 113 and 33 of the white paper and technical strategy respectively should be replaced by the following version:
