The logistics perspective: End-to-end journey case studies (HTML version)
Published in July 2008, the case studies plot six end-to-end journeys that reflect the complexity and diversity of freight and logistics transport chains. They’re designed to be informative and to reflect the Eddington principle of understanding transport in terms of the whole journey rather than a specific mode, gateway or network. Included is an introduction explaining the objective and structure of the studies, key findings and next steps. It is part of the DfT’s ongoing TaSTS process.
