Research Management

Centrally funded DFID research is managed within the Policy and Research Division (PRD). The Head of Research is Graham Teskey and the deputy head is Gail Marzetti.

There are 5 research teams which are integrated within the relevant Policy Groups These teams have responsibility for commissioning and managing research in specific sectors. There is also a Research Uptake team which in addition to sectoral research also works with the other teams to improve the impact of research to reduce poverty through communication, dissemination and getting research into use.

Research teams work also closely with DFID’s Chief Scientific Adviser to maintain external links, particularly with UK Science, Whitehall and political stakeholders, that promote DFID’s agenda.

  • Climate Change

  • Health
  • Governance in Challenging Environments
  • Research Uptake
