Targeting developmentThe International Development Targets set out a vision for reducing world poverty by 2015. And they have now been endorsed by the entire membership of the United Nations. Yet targets have come and gone too often in the past. So how can these targets be turned into reality? And in the process, how can the lives of more than a billion people with whom we share this world be improved? The International Development Targets lie at the heart of DFID's work, but they are targets for the whole world. They can only be achieved if the entire international community works together. In a series of policy papers, DFID analyses the challenge of each Target, what needs to be done, and DFID's role in achieving them. Each Target Strategy Paper (or TSP) is available online and in print as it is produced. Print copies can be ordered via the 'Publications' button above. The full list of nine TSPs is below, with hyperlinks to summaries versions where they are available. All TSPs have now been published, save for Making government work for poor people, scheduled to be available by the end of 2001.
