Influencing and negotiating

DFID is not always the prime mover in promoting development progress, even where we are involved as a donor. Sometimes, what is more important is to help develop the framework in which development activity can take place. Providing professional advice to a partner country to enable it to establish a financial regime that attracts investment, dealing with corruption, or creating a  legal framework which is fair, open, and accessible to all, regardless of their status. This section tells you about how DFID seeks to take a strategic approach to achieve its objectives.
