Draft Evaluation Guidelines

These Guidelines are designed for those within DFID who need to manage evaluative activities, both within Evaluation Department (EvD) and more generally. The Guidelines are also intended to clarify to external consultants employed to carry out DFID-supported evaluation, both what is considered good practice within DFID and what is expected of them.

They are not intended to cover technical issues involved in collecting and analysing data: that is the responsibility of the evaluators.
