Pakistan: Sight and sound
The UK government has funded the Kashf Foundation to give women in Pakistan
loans for their small businesses. In this video, the founder of the organisation
and a local branch manager talk about how the loans help their clients to work
as rickshaw drivers and fruit and vegetable sellers.
In an area of Pakistan where almost half the children don't attend school,
the UK government is funding a new approach to teaching. In this video, a
teacher and a mother explain how pupils are learning more effectively through
lessons that are fun and engaging instead of through the old system of learning
by rote.
