Responsibility for DFID-supported development activity in Pakistan. Arrangements for a fully devolved DFID office in Pakistan are expected to be completed by early 2005. Most Pakistan programme staff positions are now located in DFID Pakistan (Islamabad), but some remain in London within the Western Asia Department. Once devolution of the Pakistan programme is complete, DFID Pakistan will fully manage it under the Senior Civil Service Head of Office.
