Changes to this site

29 April 2009

We’re pleased to tell you about the latest developments to our website. In response to findings from our web visitors, we’ve restructured the DFID website to make it quicker and easier to go to the sections you need.  We’ve also added a number of short videos to explain our work in fighting poverty.

If you’re a regular visitor to our site, we’ve put quick links on the homepage to the most visited sections – see the box called ‘professional resources’.

What are the main differences?
We’ve restructured the site into six main sections:

  • About DFID – all about our organisation, including job vacancies
  • Global issues – including ‘how we fight poverty’
  • Where we work – a world map and all our country pages
  • Media room – this is now the place to find news, press, speeches, case studies, DFID publications, videos and blogs
  • Working with DFID – procurement contracts, funding schemes and consultations
  • Getting involved – what you can do to contribute to the fight against world poverty.

Linking to our site

If you have a website that links to ours, please update your page links as they have now changed (except the homepage which remains at dfid.gov.uk).  Please update your favourites/bookmarks too.

Feedback

We’d welcome your feedback on how you find the new site. If you need any help or wish to report any problems, please email our web team.
