2. Chemba Village isn't near a town. It is in the bush. Katalina's mother says, "You mustn't play in the bush, Katalina. And you mustn't walk in the bush alone. There are lots of holes in the ground. If you go near the boles, you'll fall into one of them. If you're alone, nobody will pull you out. There are lots of animals, too. If they see you alone they will chase you. You must never walk in the bush alone".
